Good Investments For The Future

Investing your money is more intimidating than ever for many of us – we are haunted by that question of where to invest my money. With trust in banks and building societies at an all time low many do not want to put their money into the seemingly chaotic world of speculation. It is often a challenge to tell good safe investments from bad. So if you have a little money that you are looking to put aside for the future, where is the best place to invest it right now.

Blue Chip companies are the major players and represent a steadier and safer option for those interested in getting into the stock market. Although the scope for profit is lower, so is the scope for loss. Property is usually a fairly safe answer to where to invest my money, but if possible it is best to invest in property that is being used as this provides rental fees as well as a way to store money.

Good Investments – Look At Bonds

Bonds provide one of the good investments for those who do not want to be involved in their investment day to day, considered safer than stocks since bonds are much harder to be transferred. A mutual fund is putting money into a group with other investors which is led by financial experts who decide how to invest the groups money. This is more involved and allows investors more involvement with their money.

ETF or Exchange traded funds are similar to mutual funds except that they will stick to one type of industry and invest around that industry. This caters more to peoples personal preferences and expertise. Pensions are a guaranteed and safe way to invest money for the future. These generally provide a secure and stable investment with lower profit yields however.

Art is a popular investment

Art is becoming a very popular way to invest money as originals and prints are more and more affordable for middle class people. For those with a good eye or an interest in art the appeal is obvious, combining profit with enjoyment. Private equity is a way of investing in companies that are not traded on the stock market and therefore not at the mercy of the often chaotic stock exchanges. With confidence in high finance so low this is an appealing option for many. But as always be careful – what at first sight might appear to be good investments can often be the opposite in reality.

Where To Invest My Money in Trust Funds

Trust funds are a way to invest money in your family or a private company to be released according to the owners conditions as and when required. Although the risk is much higher with this type of investment as it is generally seen as a social rather than commercially motivated act. This is making it an increasingly popular way to invest and was at the top of the list of good investments for 2011.

Government bonds are a more socially responsible way to invest money as it provides a competitive rate of interest as well as the added social value of freeing up surplus capital for public use making them all round best investments. All of these options have good and bad factors. The problem is choosing the right one as part of your overall plan of “where to invest my money”.
